Recently, the actress took to her social media and shared throwback pictures with Aamir Khan from an old photoshoot. The vintage photographs, taken by the well-known photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha, made the fans go down the lane of nostalgia.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Pooja also wrote a caption along with the pictures, leaving her fans in curiosity, saying, “Someday I will share the story behind these impromptu photos shot on Gautam Rajadhyaksha’s balcony,in his sprawling home on Hughes road. But not yet.. Not just yet.” In the throwback clicks, a young Aamir and Pooja can be seen twinning in white and striking candid poses for the lens.
Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, released in 1991, was a Hindi-language romantic comedy film produced by Gulshan Kumar and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film starred Bhatt’s daughter Pooja Bhatt in her first major lead female role, with Aamir Khan starring as her love interest. Supporting roles were played by Anupam Kher, Sameer Chitre, and Tiku Talsania, while Deepak Tijori made a special appearance.
Soon after its release, the film became a massive box office success due to its sweet story, powerful songs, and noteworthy performances.
Inspired by the Hollywood film ‘It Happened One Night’, Indian director Mahesh Bhatt adapted it to suit the Indian audience.
According to sources, the film was originally made on a budget of just ₹2.23 crore. Due to its huge success, it earned a whopping ₹5.90 crore, which is more than double its cost.
