On June 11, 2026, an FIR was filed against Pranit More and a few more people by the Maharashtra Cybercrime police. The legal problem is related to the social media content that has been creating headlines over the last few days.

Apart from Pranit More, others who have been charged in the case also include Himanshu Jangra and Dr. Sejal Pawar. The complaint was filed after Sejal’s videos started trending. Notably, she was spotted making some inappropriate comments about deceased individuals.

The cases, including the Rs. 370 Biryani remark, have also angered the National Commission for Women. Vijaya Rahatkar, the chairperson of the organisation, approached the DGP of Haryana for immediate action on the matter. The NCW is now seeking an ATR within a week, along with information related to the status of the FIR under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other laws.
