Prateek Yadav’s Body Was Blue, Had Multiple Injuries, Latest On Fitness Entrepreneur’s Death Probe

The sudden demise of late Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger son, Prateek Yadav, has now spiralled into a full-blown mystery after reports claimed his body had turned blue and had multiple injury marks during examination. The 38-year-old fitness entrepreneur and businessman was rushed to Lucknow’s Civil Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday, May 13, 2026, only to be declared dead after aggressive attempts to save him. 

While initial reports did not share the exact circumstances of his death, new reports from the hospital authorities have suggested that Prateek was found unconscious at his residence in the kitchen area.

What exactly happened before Prateek Yadav’s death?

According to reports, Prateek was found unconscious around 4:00 a.m. inside the kitchen area of his home in Lucknow, which he shared with his wife, Aparna Yadav. Family members reportedly first showed him to a doctor at home before rushing him to Civil Hospital. 

Doctors at the hospital were reportedly informed of Prateek’s critical condition around 5:00 a.m., after which a medical team rushed to his residence. After being immediately hospitalised for emergency procedures, including checking his blood pressure, pulse rate, and ECG in the ICU, no movement was detected. The hospital’s director, Dr GP Gupta, declared him dead around 5:55 a.m. 

Hospital authorities later informed police, and the body was sent for postmortem examination at King George’s Medical University (KGMU).

Contrary to prior assumptions that Prateek may have died from complications in his lungs, new reports have revealed more concerning findings. According to reports, Prateek’s nails and portions of his body had turned blue by the time the autopsy was conducted. 

The reports also suggested that there were minor injury marks on his leg, while multiple blue marks were allegedly visible on the body. The final report of his postmortem has not been released yet, and officials have not yet linked the injuries to the cause of his death. With the increasing suspicion surrounding the 38-year-old’s unexpected demise, law enforcement officials have reportedly sealed Prateek’s bedroom and recovered his mobile phone and laptop for further examination.

Could there be foul play involved? Questions raised about Aparna Yadav’s whereabouts

The exact cause of Prateek Yadav’s death remains unclear, but the initial findings reportedly did not indicate any immediate signs of foul play. While there can be several medical reasons behind the body turning blue, doctors have decided to preserve the late businessman’s viscera for further forensic analysis, including toxicology and chemical examinations.

Reports further claimed that Prateek Yadav’s wife, Aparna Yadav, was not at home when the incident occurred, as she was reportedly in Assam. By the time she was informed and rushed back to Lucknow, news of Prateek’s death had already spread publicly. Later, Aparna’s cousin, Mukesh Bahadur Singh, addressed the growing speculation surrounding the blue marks found on Prateek’s body and appealed to people not to draw assumptions before the final post-mortem report is released.

Prateek Yadav had a history of health issues; Akhilesh Yadav had expressed concern in their last meeting

Sources close to the family claimed Prateek had been dealing with serious health complications for quite some time. Reports mentioned he had issues in his lungs and liver, and he was undergoing treatment for pulmonary embolism, a condition caused by blood clots in the lungs. Prateek had reportedly been admitted multiple times to the Mendaata Hospital in Lucknow in recent months.

Some reports also suggested he was undergoing treatment for a neurological condition and had recently been discharged after his health temporarily improved. His elder half-brother, Akhilesh Yadav, also revealed that he had met Prateek around two months ago and had advised him to take better care of his health.

At this point, Prateek’s family and authorities have urged not to jump to conclusions about his death until official confirmation.
