EXCLUSIVE: Pregnant Scarlett Moffatt teased that she has a football-themed baby name in mind, after previously welcoming son Jude with fiancé Scott Dobinson.

Scarlett Moffatt has teased that her baby name could have a football twist after England’s successful start to their World Cup campaign last night.

The I’m A Celebrity winner is set to welcome her second child with fiancé Scott Dobinson, and announced her pregnancy joy earlier this year. The pair are currently parents to son Jude and recently confirmed they will soon be adding a second boy to their brood.

Speaking to the Mirror about her plans to watch the World Cup from the comfort of her sofa, thanks to her new Freely campaign – following the team’s win against Croatia – the 35-year-old opened up about life with her toddler, and how baby preparations are coming along.

With a son named Jude – after Jude Law, not the England midfielder – we had to know whether there was a “Harry” on the way, inspired by captain Harry Kane. She laughed: “We’ve got three names picked, and one of them actually is a football name…

“One of the names we had to cancel out because Jude couldn’t pronounce it properly. I was like, ‘No, that’ll get on my nerves, that’s a sign.’ But we keep trying to use it in different situations to see which one feels natural.”

“Jude is actually named after Jude Law, however, Jude Bellingham is a good namesake,” she laughed. “I really think Jude Bellingham is the standout! I also feel like what this is going to incur is lots of other kids called Jude, so Jude will be little Jude or tall Jude [in future school classes].”

After the World Cup kicked off last week, football fan Scarlett conceded that her celebrations look slightly different this time around.

When asked whether her youngster was able to stay up past his bedtime and watch his namesake – who scored the team’s third goal – she said: “No, because he’s three, we can just easily watch it on catch up and he doesn’t realise it was on the night before, so we can watch the highlights, and he can feel involved.

“If he was older, I probably would [let him] because it’s history, we’re literally watching history.. I remember watching matches when I was a kid, and my dad throwing us up in the air and getting excited. It’s nice to have those memories.”

Scarlett first met former policeman Scott well over a decade ago, but it wasn’t until a chance meeting years later when their relationship began. They made their romance official in 2019 and have been inseparable ever since. The couple went on to welcome son Jude in 2023, before revealing their engagement at the end of that year.

In April, following her return home from the South African jungle after I’m A Celebrity All-Stars, the reality star confirmed their second child was on the way with a beautiful post on Instagram.

Touching on how her pregnancy has been this time around, she explained how much harder it was to carry her second child.

The TV icon said: “The first pregnancy with Jude, I honestly felt like, ‘Gosh, I don’t even know why people moan about this!’ I had no symptoms, honestly, it was the best time ever. My skin had never been better, everywhere I went, people would give us compliments. It was unbelievable. I could eat loads of food at buffets and be like, it’s not bloat, it’s a baby. I was living my best life.

“This time around, I’ve been surviving rather than thriving. It has been hard work. I don’t know if it’s because I’m older or just because my body is like, ‘We’ve done this before, you had it too easy last time’. I was filming, then running off and having a mini vom, quick mint spray, to come back on filming…

“This time around has been a bit hard, so I apologise to all mothers out there. I was like, ‘It’s not that bad!’ It is horrific. I take it all back!”

Scarlett is no stranger to a night on the sofa, having shot to stardom while appearing on Gogglebox. She has now teamed up with Freely to share her survival guide to late nights in front of the TV just in time for the World Cup.

“It’s coming home, I’m staying home because all the matches are so late. So I shall be watching on my Freely TV, because it’s the easiest way to watch TV,” she insisted, urging others to prepare with “snacks, hydration, lots of pizza and lots of juice”.

“Alcohol is not involved but if I wasn’t pregnant, I would have been enjoying a cheeky cider on the couch while I watched the football. Internally I’m cheering and I’m screaming, but externally – because I don’t want to wake my child up – it’s quiet cheering.

“It is history. This is what I love about live TV, is that you feel like you’re part of something, and you get excited to message your friends or see people the next day and talk about it. This is peak telly things – Love Island, the World Cup – because you feel like you’re all in it together.”
