Prince Harry has revealed his full list of occupations including one unexpected name he has now added to his list of jobs
Prince Harry has revealed his full list of occupations including one unlikely name.
The Duke of Sussex appeared on the Celebrity Traitors star’s podcast Joe Marler Will See You Now during his recent trip to the UK. As part of his chat with the ex-rugby star, he revealed his full name.
He told the hosts it was “Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex” or “H for short”. They then went on to chat about occupations, where Harry made a lengthy list for those tuning in.
“Full-time dad. British Army veteran. Prince of England. Duke. But for today, I don’t know. What do you want?” As they all settled on calling him Duke, talk soon turned to the Invictus Games, which sees wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans take part in the Paralympic-style games.
The next Invictus Games are being staged in Birmingham in 2027 and Harry has been in the UK to promote the upcoming event, as well as bringing together members of the Invictus community, leading experts and policymakers, including UK minister for veterans and people Calvin Bailey, to discuss the issues faced by personnel and veterans.
When they spoke about the Games on the podcast, Joe asked if he would be known as an “inventor”, to which Harry said that “founder” would have been more appropriate.
In a speech this week, the Duke spoke of the importance of the Invictus Games, which he founded in London in 2014. He told the audience at the special event: “What we’ve seen today shows us that, if anything, this is just the beginning.
“One year from today, the world will come to the great city of Birmingham, for the Invictus Games 2027. To bring the Games back to the UK – 13 years after London 2014 – feels incredibly special for all of us.
“Not just because this is where the Invictus journey first began, but because Britain has always understood the importance of service, resilience, and standing together when it matters most. Sport has an incredible way of bringing people together.”
To close his speech, he spoke of the importance of those who had come back time and time again since 2014, before making a joke about his own changes over the years.
“What has struck me walking around the arena today is just how many faces I recognise from those different groups that were part of that original journey back in 2014,” he said.
He quipped: “Some of us have got older… some of us have lost our hair.” He later competed in a game of wheelchair rugby, which was one of the most popular sports during the Games.
