Princess and Junior Andre are currently appearing on Celebrity Race Across the World, and their dad Peter issued his kids with a “dark” warning about the entertainment industry

Singer Peter Andre gave children Princess and Junior a “dark” warning about their careers – and he admits Junior’s response “broke his heart”. The brother and sister duo are currently participating on Celebrity Race Across the World.

The BBC reality show sees four pairs travel from Kuching in Malaysia to Melbourne, Australia, on a budget of just £840 per person. Participants are not allowed to fly.

Princess, 19, and Junior, 21, have both decided to follow their famous parents – Mysterious Girl singer Peter and former glamour model Katie Price – into the entertainment industry. This led to a stark warning from their dad, who sat them down to talk about the “dark” world he inhabits.

Speaking on his podcast, The Andres, which he hosts with wife Emily, the couple were talking about their nine-year-old son, Theo. Emily said he “loves performing”, but Peter said he doesn’t want his lad to get into showbusiness.

He explained: “The last couple of years, I’ve set Junior and Princess down separately. And I’ve said: ‘Kids, do you really want to do this?’ You’ve heard me say that.

“You’ve got to be thick-skinned. I want you to go through some of the highs that you experience, but the highs can be so high, and the lows can be very low.

“Unless you’re really built for it. I’m not as thick-skinned as I’d like to be. You learn. I don’t know if I’d wish that upon them.”

Peter, 53, then went on to explain his son Junior’s heartbreaking response to the discussion.

He revealed: “Junior said to me. It broke my heart a little bit. ‘Are you saying that because you don’t believe in my talent, or you don’t believe I’m good enough.’

“I said: ‘Mate, it’s the opposite. I know your talent, I know how amazing you are. That’s not the point, that makes it even more scary. Do you want to do this or are you doing it because you feel you should, or because people around you are encouraging you.’

“He said: ‘It’s kind of a bit late, I’ve done it all my life.’ I said: ‘It’s never too late.'”

Princess has already starred in her own reality TV series, The Princess Diaries. The show, which aired on ITV2 in August 2025, featured the teenager navigating her career and family life.
