The Atlanta Falcons are less than 24 hours from taking the field against the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid, Spain. The team made a few changes leading up to this Week 9 matchup, releasing edge rushers Drake Jackson and Jared Ivey from the 53-man roster before signing them back to the practice squad.

Atlanta also placed edge rusher Samson Ebukam on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury. Ebukam, who ranks second on the team with 2.5 sacks this season, is a big loss for this defense. On the bright side, edge rusher James Pearce Jr is back with the team after serving an eight-game suspension.

Pearce led the team with 10.5 sacks last season. However, he suffered a back injury during Friday’s practice and has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday’s game. Check back on Sunday morning to see if Pearce plays against the Bengals.

The Falcons have ruled out wide receiver Zachariah Branch and running back Brian Robinson Jr. ahead of Week 9. Look for Olamide Zaccheaus to fill in for Branch in the return game. We also expect practice squad running back Khalil Herbert to elevated for Sunday’s game.
