Guru Randhawa took center stage on Thursday night at the pre-launch event for his debut Punjabi film, Shahkot, held in Mohali. The event attracted a host of celebrities from the Punjabi entertainment industry, including notable figures such as veteran actors Raj Babbar and Seema Kaushal.
The film’s team was welcomed by prominent personalities like actor-singer Babbu Maan, directors Sameep Kang, Simerjit Singh, and Amarpreet Chhabra, as well as writer Naresh Kathooria and singer Singaa. The gathering also featured actors Anita Devgan, Hobby Dhaliwal, Rana Jung Bahadur, and many others who came to celebrate.
Satinder Satti emceed the evening alongside Rajiv Thakur from The Great Indian Kapil Show. Raj Babbar expressed his gratitude for the love he has received from Punjab, while producer Anirudh Mohta highlighted the benefits of Punjabi-Marwari collaborations. Actor Kartar Cheema made a stylish appearance and humorously noted the importance of staying fit in the industry.
The atmosphere was lively with food, drinks, singing, and dancing as attendees celebrated Randhawa’s transition from music to acting. The film Shahkot, directed by Rajiv Dhingra, is set to release on October 4. Randhawa shared his excitement about this new venture, emphasizing his passion for acting alongside his successful music career.
