Kakinada:Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha member D. Purandeswari, chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Pratishthan Bill, 2025, held discussions in Kolkata on Sunday.
The committee gathered views from representatives of the West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Sikkim governments, besides officials from IIM Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and the Union Ministry of Education.
Purandeswari said the suggestions from various stakeholders were invaluable in strengthening the education sector and ensuring access to quality higher education. She said the committee would consider the feedback and suggestions received during its study tour.
