The Englishman is not just about passes, though, and he consistently got into goalscoring positions and chipped in for Mourinho’s side.
His relentless work rate, ability to get forward and track back, knack for winning back possession and intelligent late runs into the box have made him a nightmare for opponents.
The Englishman pipped the likes of Yan Diomande, Fede Valverde, Dean Huijsen and Arda Guler to the award.
A record-breaking week in the Champions League
It was also a week in which Bellingham achieved several significant milestones in the Champions League.
During Real Madrid’s dramatic 3-2 victory over AEK Athens, he was named Player of the Match.

That game also marked his 60th appearance for Los Blancos in Europe’s elite competition, making him the youngest player to reach that milestone, surpassing Iker Casillas.

At 23 years and 128 days, the Englishman comfortably surpassed the Madrid legend, who had reached the mark at 23 years and 167 days.
The midfielder also reached 30 goal contributions in the Champions League, with 16 goals and 14 assists for Dortmund and Real Madrid.
In Mourinho, Bellingham has found a manager who is willing to give him the perfect role and the licence to move forward whenever he can.
