In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rahul Bhatt said that he has a good and respectful relationship with his stepsisters, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt. Rahul shared that he is especially happy for Shaheen, who is now settled in her life. For the unversed, Shaheen Bhatt got engaged to fitness coach Ishaan Mehra in April 2026. He said:
“We have civil dynamics. I am really happy for them; they are my younger sisters. They call me Sunny Bunny.”
While Rahul and his stepsisters share a respectful bond, they usually meet only on festivals. Rahul expressed his wish to be closer to his half-sisters, Alia and Shaheen. He mentioned that Shaheen respects him more than Alia. According to Rahul, Alia has stardom and is different from his other siblings. He said:
“The most important relationship to me in my family in this day is with my real sister, Pooja.”

“Alia has delivered in the real world, and not once or twice; her choice of films has been consistently great. She has got talent and public relations; she understands how to create. What I mean to say is that Pooja is more a talent powerhouse, if you compare with Alia. She looked better, she had personality, she spoke well, and was well informed. But that was a different era.”
While time and again, Rahul opened up about his bond with Alia, she has generally kept it private. She is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and his second wife, Soni Razdan. She is a phenomenal actress and has won hearts with her impeccable acting skills. She made her debut as a lead actress in Karan Johar’s film Student of the Year.
