Rakul Preet Singh Reacts To Jackky Bhagnani Calling Their Marriage ‘Situationship’, ‘Gen-Z Banne..’

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are one of the much-loved couples in Bollywood. The duo dated for several years before they got married in 2024. Jackky and Rahul have been making headlines as a few days ago, the actor made a comment, which was stretched too far.

Jackky, in an interview, was speaking about the Gen-Z culture, and while doing the same, he ended up calling his marriage to Rakul a ‘situationship’ as well. Soon, this brought the actor to the limelight, with criticism as well as a meme fest around. Now, Rakul Preet Singh had a comment about the same.

Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a video featuring her and Jackky Bhagnani discussing the incident where he called their marriage a ‘situationship’. The video was a playful jibe where Rakul was seen teasing Jackky for the comments that he made.

She reminded Jackky that they are ‘millennials’, thus, in no way should they act like  Gen-Z. Jackky, on the other hand, held his ears playfully and mentioned that he didn’t mean it that way. Well, Rakul added that she knows this, but the world just can’t stop talking about it, and thus she thought she should come forward and speak about the same. The caption could be read as, ‘Ho gaya aap log ka bhi ab (Are you guys done too? Now) laugh about it and move on.’ In the video, Rakul could be quoted as saying:

“Kitne baar bola hai isko, that we are millennials… Gen Z banne ki zarurat nahi hain! Bola tha na.”

Rakul Preet Singh earlier released a statement as well. In a note, the actress revealed that she and Jackky laughed about the fact that how a short portion from a much longer conversation was cut and used as a headline. She also shared how a line from an hour-long conversation was used as clickbait, rather than focusing on the context of what was being spoken about. She also mentioned that the interview and the conversation that they had should deserve better than making a single-line headline, just to create controversy around. 

What did Jackky Bhagnani say about his and Rakul’s marriage being a situationship?

In an interview with Zingabad, Jacky Bhagnani was speaking about his relationship with Rakul Preet Singh. In the same interview, Jackky was asked what he thought about ‘situationship’. To this, Jackky said that he absolutely understands where these terms are coming from, as they do not have any baggage. As per Jackky, Gen-Z are attached much to this ‘situationship’ because they don’t like things like pressure or responsibilities. Jackky could be quoted as saying:

“Situationship kyo aaj kal ki gen-z chahti hai kyunki unko kya hai na yeh pressure, yeh expectation and bandishein humko nahi chahiye. Rakul aur meri shaadi ho gayi hai, but we are like in a situationship. Yes, we are exclusive to each other, because we are married.”

He also said that he and Rakul are married, but they are in a situationship. He instantly also mentioned that they are exclusive to each other because they are married. This comment didn’t go down well with people on social media, who started mocking the actor, although the entire context of the interview hasn’t been evaluated in that way.
