Puka Nacua turned in a vintage performance on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, but about 90 minutes after the game ended, some concerning news was shared regarding the Los Angeles Rams receiver’s health.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported after the game that Nacua injured his knee on the Rams’ final offensive snap and will get an MRI to determine the severity. The play was a jet sweep handoff to Nacua that picked up 5 yards.

Schefter added that the Rams don’t believe he suffered a torn ACL, but the MRI will give them more information.
In the Rams’ 20-13 win, Nacua caught 14 of his 19 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown. He also had two carries for 20 yards.
Nacua has been far and away the Rams’ best player this season, especially given the injury to Davante Adams that has the veteran receiver on IR for at least a few more weeks. He’s battled through injuries himself, missing two games earlier in the year due to a groin issue.
The last few weeks, he’s played through a calf injury, which finally seemed to subside on Sunday; Nacua looked much more explosive on plays down the field after catching mostly short passes the last two weeks.

The Rams will be in serious trouble if Nacua is out for any extended period of time, but fortunately, they have a bye in Week 11, so if he can’t play next week, he’ll have two weeks to rest before the team returns in Week 12.
