All eyes are on Nitesh Tiwari as the two-part adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana nears release. The film is a fortnight away from its grand release, and fans cannot wait to see what the makers have created. And now, with advance bookings open, the ticket prices have surged to over Rs. 2,000 in just a day. The film is slated to be released on November 5, 2026.
Ramayana sells 85,000 tickets on day 1 of advance bookings
On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the makers opened the advance booking for the much-awaited film Ramayana. And despite having over a fortnight before its release, the film has already generated considerable momentum. According to reports, as of 8 AM on October 21, 2026, the film had already sold 84,969 tickets across India in less than a day of advance bookings.

Ramayana is not just an epic but a sentiment shared by millions. So, as soon as the window opened for advance booking, people rushed to get their hands on the seats. The film has already collected Rs. 4.88 crore in advance bookings across 104 cities. Excluding block bookings, its collection stands at Rs. 3.05 crore. According to initial reports, the Hindi version leads with Rs. 4.62 crore, accounting for around 95 per cent of the total sales.
The dubbed Kannada version follows at Rs. 24.92 lakh, and the dubbed Telugu version at Rs. 47,400. According to Sacnilk, the film’s occupancy currently stands at 11 per cent, and the Kannada dubbed version has sold the second-highest number of tickets among the dubbed versions so far.
Ramayana ticket prices soar up to Rs. 2,770
Talking about the ticket prices, the rates seem to vary from city to city. The majority of Ramayana tickets have been sold in the Delhi-NCR region, amassing 18,674 tickets for Rs. 1.42 crore. Following close behind is Mumbai with 14,823 tickets for Rs. 1.01 crore. Next on the list are Pune with 4,200 tickets, Kolkata with 4,092 tickets, and Bengaluru with 4,105 tickets.

Despite high ticket prices in Mumbai, the city has sold the second-highest number of tickets so far. What further comes as a surprise is the fact that the recliner seats for the 6:55 PM show at IMAX 3D at PVR ICON: Phoenix Palladium are currently priced at Rs. 2,770 for both November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026.
The earliest show in the city is at 6:45 am at Miraj Cinemas: IMAX, Wadala, while the last show is at 11:45 pm at Maison INOX: Jio World Plaza, BKC. The buzz around the film has been only growing as the clock runs out. The makers had announced on Monday that advance bookings for Ramayana would open on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, marking the occasion of Dussehra.

However, bookings opened only for limited shows in the morning, amid a reported dispute between the distributors, Dharma Productions, and exhibitors over distribution shares during the first three weeks. According to reports, during the first, second and third weeks, the distributor’s shares are usually 52.5 per cent, 45 per cent and 37.5 per cent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Dharma Productions reportedly sought a higher distributor share of 60 per cent, 50 per cent and 40 per cent, given the film’s scale and the tremendous buzz surrounding it. Dharma Productions acquired the pan-India distribution rights for both parts of Ramayana for over Rs. 250 crore earlier this year. Along with the advance bookings, the makers also released a video of Yash’s ‘Ravana’ dancing to the beats of Ravana Tandav.
