After Rahul apologised, Ranvir threw light on what happened back then. He took to his X account and talked about the apology. He expressed gratitude that after 20 years of propaganda and slander against him, the truth has come out. He further completed the missing piece of the story and stated that defending yourself against violence to escape someone toxic is not called hitting. He wrote:
“I’m glad over 20 years of malicious propaganda and slander has finally given way to some truth! Let me add the missing piece, so it can finally rest now: defending yourself against violence to escape someone toxic is not “hitting”!”

For the unversed, during Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, Rahul revealed that there was an ugly altercation between Ranvir Shorey and Pooja Bhatt. They were having an argument, after which Ranvir hit her or something like that. He revealed that he stepped in, but his response was a bit exaggerated. In anger, he broke his car’s glass and broke one of his ribs.
Rahul admitted that he did wrong by taking the law into his own hands, and after that he paid the price and was arrested. He regretted his actions and praised how Ranvir handled the situation. Rahul also revealed that back then, he said he would do it again, but in Ranvir’s case, he shouldn’t have, as Ranvir was a decent man.
Rahul revealed that Ranvir was the one who came forward and told him to let bygones be bygones. Rahul stated that no one does something like that, as people try to extract money in such situations. Rahul said:
“During the compounding of the offense, he came forward and said, ‘Let bygones be bygones. Nobody does something like that. People usually use such situations to extract money, but he didn’t. He came and compounded the case, and the FIR was quashed. Until then, I had a criminal case pending. He was very decent in that. I respect him for that. Nobody else would have done it without holding a grudge.”
