Bahamas-bound Learjet crash resulted in the death of nine people. On November 1, 2026, the business jet, a Learjet 60, was flying from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas, carrying 7 passengers and two pilots. The investigation is underway and will determine the cause of the crash; however, initial reports suggest that bad weather, heavy icing, and extreme turbulence could be among the primary causes.
If the reports are to be believed, the pilots reported light-clear icing, moderate turbulence, and low temperatures to ATC, requesting a climb to 37,000 feet. However, the plane was in an overspeed condition; immediately after that, at around 12:50 PM, the Learjet 60 crashed near Palm Beach, taking all 9 innocent lives, as reported. The victims were a 20-year-old female co-pilot, Natalia Gadelha Filgueiras, a tech entrepreneur, his family, their kids’ nanny, a couple, and another pilot.
A tech entrepreneur, along with his wife, kids, and kids’ nanny, passed away in the Florida crash
Amid the heartbreaking news, new information has been surfacing. The tech entrepreneur was Adam Robinson, who died in the Learjet crash. Not only he, but his wife and their two kids, along with their nanny, were also victims of the tragic crash.
Adam Robinson was 45 years old and was reportedly traveling to the Bahamas to celebrate his birthday. Adam Robinson, the Learjet victim’s last post surfaced; he talked about his dream life in a podcast
The tragic crash ended up taking the lives of 5 members of the family, including the nanny, and it’s just heartbreaking. Amid this, Adam’s old post surfaced on social media. On X, he had written that “You don’t need to crash a plane to learn to fly, and you don’t need VC to build a business.” While this was meant to be metaphorical, the recent incident has brought a new emotional meaning to Adam’s last post.

Adam’s family lived in Aspen, Colorado, and in a podcast, the 45-year-old techie talked about living his dream life. Speaking on a podcast, he said that he felt like he was living a dream, as he stayed in his dream place and could see his kids whenever he could, since he didn’t have to travel much for work. On top of that, Adam talked about his wife’s happiness, as she could be a full-time artist. The passing of the family is surely tragic. Adam, in the podcast, said:
“I feel like I’m living the dream. I love the fact that I get to see my kids in the morning and the evening, and I don’t have to travel for work that much, and I get to live in this place that’s always been my dream. And my wife is super happy because she can be a full-time artist.”
