Real Madrid are inching closer to completing a deal to sign one of the most exciting young talents in European football.
Manchester United sensation JJ Gabriel is on the verge of joining Los Blancos, with the deal in its final stages.

Now, according to Jorge C. Picon, the 16-year-old’s entourage expects his move to Los Blancos to be finalised next week or the week after.
Gabriel has been looking for a new club for some time, and it looks like Madrid have won the race for his signature.
Manchester United’s efforts prove unsuccessful
United are said to have held several meetings with Gabriel and his representatives in an attempt to convince him to stay at the club.
Both club executives and Michael Carrick have tried their best to persuade the teenager, but to no avail.
The teenager is said to be determined to join Real Madrid and fulfil his long-term dream.

Gabriel requested to leave United in September and has since been training independently in Spain while discussions over his future continue.
Interestingly, one factor favouring Madrid is the possibility of offering Gabriel his first professional contract immediately.
Under English regulations, the youngster would have to wait until October 2027, when he turns 17, to sign professional terms with United.
Madrid, meanwhile, can offer such an agreement at 16 under Spanish regulations, subject to the necessary international transfer approvals.
Real Madrid closing in on another promising talent
Los Blancos have already secured a verbal agreement with the teenager, having beaten Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich to his signature.

Widely regarded as the biggest English talent around, Gabriel’s reputation has continued to skyrocket in recent months.

He has put in some incredible performances for Man United’s academy, including a hat-trick against Sabah in the UEFA Youth League earlier this season.
However, the transfer is far from straightforward for Real Madrid as they look to iron out the details with Man United.
Signing him ahead of the competition would be a coup for the Spanish club, who would have secured yet another promising talent for the future.
If Gabriel can continue to develop along similar lines, it won’t be long before he is knocking on the first-team door in the Spanish capital, and it remains to be seen how his career pans out.
