LOS ANGELES — Rebecca Allen returned to New York this season locked in and excited to be a solid role player on a championship-hungry Liberty team.
But this season hasn’t been easy for Allen. Her Aussie positivity and go-with-the-flow mentality have been tested.
Allen had a slower ramp-up to the season and missed the season opener. Then, she struggled to earn minutes. She played in just 10 of the first 25 games with several healthy scratches.
In the 10 games she came off the bench, she averaged 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 13.6 percent (3-for-22) from the field. She had as many assists (six) as she had turnovers.
