Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to expedite the regularisation of houses and house sites pending across districts and place unresolved cases before the Cabinet for a decision.

Reviewing the performance of various departments at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre, the chief minister said the issue of regularisation had remained unresolved for a long time in several districts and should be settled without further delay.

“We must put a full stop to this issue. Prepare a list of houses and house sites requiring regularisation in every district. Cases that can be resolved at the district level should be completed there itself, while unresolved matters should be brought before the Cabinet,” Naidu said in an official press release on Tuesday.
He directed officials to obtain information from district collectors and place dispute-free cases before every Cabinet meeting for approval.
The CM also instructed the Housing and Finance departments to coordinate and clear pending bills in the Housing Department.
Naidu further directed officials to curb illegal sand transportation and ensure that sand mined in Andhra Pradesh is not transported to other states, and vehicles crossing state borders illegally should be seized.
Calling for greater use of technology, the chief minister said sand-laden vehicles should be tracked, and an instant alert mechanism developed to detect illegal transportation.
He noted that around 50,000 vehicles are already being monitored through GPS and asked the mining and police departments to work in close coordination.
The chief minister also stressed the need to effectively communicate the government’s welfare and development programmes to the public, saying awareness of government services would improve public satisfaction and help people fully utilise available benefits.
