Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, ministers, Congress MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior party leaders from Telangana will participate in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc protest against the special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Delhi on October 12, Monday. In view of the protest, the Chief Minister has postponed the Cabinet meeting scheduled for the same day to discuss the El Niño crisis and its impact on Telangana.
Revanth Reddy has invited key Congress leaders in the state to attend the protest being organised under the aegis of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Delhi. He has called upon Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members, state legislators, MLCs, chairpersons of various corporations, district Congress presidents and senior Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders to reach the national capital and participate in the programme.
The I.N.D.I.A. bloc will organise a major protest in Delhi on Monday to raise its concerns over voting rights and the SIR exercise, AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal said on Saturday. He also announced that Opposition leaders would meet the Chief Justice of India on the same day. A fresh date for the special Cabinet meeting will be announced soon.
