Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will launch a series of welfare schemes, development initiatives, inaugurations and foundation stone-laying programmes across Telangana from June 3 to 12 as part of the final phase of the state government’s 99-day ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ action plan.
The programme begins on June 3 with the laying of the foundation stone for the International Integrated Fruit Market at Koheda in Rangareddy district and farmer training programmes on crop diversification and efficient fertiliser use through 1,600 Rythu Vedikas.
As part of World Environment Day celebrations on June 5, the government will organise Vanamahotsavam programmes, plantation drives, awareness campaigns and inaugurate several eco-tourism and forest infrastructure projects, including urban parks, safari facilities, forest quarters and wildlife-related amenities across multiple districts.
On June 7, major urban development projects are scheduled for inauguration and foundation laying, including the `304-crore Mir Alam Tank Bridge, the 1280-crore Osmansagar drinking water project, a bridge across the ORR service road at Narsingi, municipal office buildings and other civic infrastructure works. The government will also launch initiatives such as Swachh EV Autos, a four-bin waste segregation system and digital utility payment services.
The panchayat raj and rural development department will launch women self-help group initiatives, including the rollout of 553 RTC buses owned by women SHGs, the release of interest-free loans and the inauguration of community infrastructure buildings.
A major thrust will be given to road infrastructure on June 8 with the inauguration and foundation laying of dozens of road, bridge and flyover projects across districts, besides the inauguration of Integrated District Office Complexes (IDOCs) at Warangal, Karimnagar and Mulugu, Government Medical Colleges at Wanaparthy, Mancherial, Mahabubabad and Jangaon, and a Nursing College at Banswada.
The energy department will launch renewable energy initiatives, including foundation stones for 19 MW ground-mounted solar power plants near 18 substations, inauguration of EV charging stations, rooftop solar systems and solar-powered agriculture pump sets.
On June 9, the Chief Minister will inaugurate six sports academies and lay foundation stones for nine multipurpose mini stadiums across the State, while also launching programmes for para-athlete development and sports governance reforms.
The women and child development department will introduce mobile Anganwadis, creches, an anti-trafficking policy and a sound library for visually and hearing-impaired persons, besides inaugurating a `40-crore TG Foods plant and laying the foundation stone for a modern common kitchen in Ameerpet.
A key highlight of the action plan will be the health department programmes on June 11. The Chief Minister will inaugurate TIMS-Sanathnagar, a super-speciality hospital, critical care blocks at Kothagudem, Medak and Narayanpet, a community health centre at Kollapur and a central medical store at Bhongir.
The government will also launch 145 polyclinics in the CURE region and issue appointment orders to 572 healthcare personnel, including assistant professors and staff nurses. A foundation stone will also be laid for a 100-seater super-speciality postgraduate hostel at TIMS-Sanathnagar.
The 99-day action plan will conclude on June 12 with student outreach programmes, distribution of welcome kits in schools and a statewide anti-drug pledge involving students.
