Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday called upon business federations, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to partner with the state government in achieving the goal of transforming Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
Speaking after inaugurating the SAMAKHYA Business Summit-2026, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of business federations in understanding emerging economic trends, adapting to technological changes and guiding the younger generation towards entrepreneurship.
He said the state government had unveiled the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document in 2025, with the aim of accelerating economic growth and positioning Telangana as a global investment destination. The state currently contributes around five per cent to India’s GDP, and the government aims to increase its share to 10 per cent, he said.
Explaining the government’s development strategy, Revanth Reddy said Telangana was being developed under three economic zones — CURE, PURE and RARE.
Recalling Hyderabad’s historic role in trade and commerce, he said the Charminar had served as a landmark for businesses centuries ago, while Hi-Tech City had emerged as a modern symbol of the city’s economic progress.
He urged local entrepreneurs to move beyond providing services to corporate companies and start investing in businesses with global ambitions. Emphasising women’s participation in economic development, Revanth Reddy said countries that encouraged women to participate in economic activities had achieved greater economic strength. He called upon to promote entrepreneurship among women and young people.
The state government had extended bank-linkage loans worth Rs.61,000 crore to women and enabled them to become owners of RTC buses, petrol pumps and solar power plants, he said. The government would extend the necessary support to entrepreneurs and continue policies that encourage investment and development.
The Chief Minister called for collective efforts to realise the vision of Telangana Rising and make the state a major contributor to India’s economic growth.
