Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday made a series of significant political statements, declaring his long-term governance plans for the state and his future aspirations in national politics.
Addressing his political trajectory, the Chief Minister asserted that he intends to remain at the helm of Telangana affairs until 2034, after leading the Congress party to yet another electoral victory in the state. Only after establishing a secure stronghold in Telangana does he plan to transition into national politics.
“My ultimate goal is to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that once he moves to Delhi, he envisions working closely alongside Gandhi in the national arena.
Delving into internal party dynamics, the Chief Minister revealed that Rahul Gandhi’s primary focus remains solely on restoring the Congress party to power nationwide, rather than chasing personal ambition. “He does not possess a personal desire for the Prime Minister’s post. I was the one who convinced him that he must contend for the position,” Reddy stated.
