ADILABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to launch the second phase of the Indiramma Housing scheme from Adilabad district on June 2, coinciding with Telangana Formation Day.
Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju said a public meeting will be held in Adilabad on the occasion. He added that housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and minister-in-charge Jupally Krishna Rao are also likely to attend.
The Chief Minister is expected to visit Heerapur gram panchayat in Indravelli mandal, where he may lay foundation stones for development works and interact with Adivasi community members.
Officials are working to develop Heerapur as a model gram panchayat, including installation of solar pump sets for lands under ROFR and patta holdings across seven villages.
NPDCL’s chairman and managing director, K. Varun Reddy recently visited Heerapur, identified as a model solar village in the Adilabad circle, and directed officials to initiate works for solar power supply to households and agricultural lands through Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation.
The programme is expected to combine housing rollout with local development initiatives in the district.
