Round Rock beat Vandegrift 41-38 thanks to a long touchdown pass in the final minute, while Cedar Ridge improved to 4-0 with a 34-16 win over Rouse. Both the Dragons and Raiders start District 25-6A play Friday.

In District 12-5A Division I, Weiss took a big step toward the district title with a 40-38 win over College Station, and in District 13-5A Division I, Anderson beat Lockhart 49-7 in a showdown of teams that entered the game undefeated.
All three local 6A districts begin play this week, as do District 13-5A Division II and District 13-4A Division I. Though Westlake is in District 25-6A, it has the off week and is hosting Midland Lee in nondistrict play.
Player of the week: Dov Stickler
The Round Rock quarterback threw for 325 yards and five touchdowns, including the game-winner with 50 seconds left, to help the Dragons beat Vandegrift 41-38. He finished with passing touchdowns of 51, 11, 75, 67 and 47 yards.

Quinn Szczytowski, Vista Ridge: Rushed for 222 yards and three TDs in a 56-28 win over McNeil.
Evan Williamson, Vandegrift: Ran for 164 yards and five touchdowns during a 41-38 loss to Round Rock.
