Rubina Dilaik is a popular TV actress widely known for her roles in the TV series, Chotti Bahu and Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. It is worth mentioning that Rubina has never shied away from speaking her mind. Coming to her personal life, Rubina is married to actor, Abhinav Shukla. They are parents to two beautiful twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa. In a recent conversation, Rubina opened up about cutting ties with her so-called friends during her pregnancy.

Recently, Rubina Dilaik shared a video on her YouTube channel in which she was seen having a candid conversation with TV actress, Jannat Zubair. During the conversation, Rubina recalled the time when she was expecting her twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa. In September 2023, Rubina and Abhishek, through a collaborative post confirmed that they were expecting their first child. 

On November 27, 2023, the couple was blessed with two twin baby girls. Rubina shared that the pregnancy was a life-transforming journey for her. The Chotti Bahu fame mentioned that she had cut ties with her so-called friends who were there for her during her happy days and sad days, but were absent during her bad days. Rubina highlighted that they didn’t show up when she was pregnant and thus, without any explanation, she had cut off all contacts.

When Rubina Dilaik revealed that she experienced emotional turmoil post motherhood

In a 2024 episode of her podcast, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi, Rubina Dilaik was seen having a heartfelt conversation with actress, Debina Bonnerjee. During the conversation, Rubina shared an unheard facet of her post-motherhood journey. The Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress revealed that she experienced emotional turmoil post-motherhood. Rubina highlighted that during that phase, she used to cry all night. She also felt like taking help. However, it was Rubina’s husband, Abhinav Shukla, who helped her cope with it.

Rubina Dilaik credited her mother for being her biggest support system

In a 2024 vlog, Rubina credited her mother for being her biggest support system. She highlighted that it was all because of her mom that she could pursue her career, embracing motherhood. She mentioned that her mom has so much energy, enthusiasm, and positivity. She was quoted as saying:

“Because of her, I can pursue my career after becoming a mom. Our moms are super moms. They will take care of house, take care of the baby and also give us the assurance so that we can step out. My mother has so much of energy and enthusiasm and whenever you see her face, it’s radiant with positivity.”

Rubina shared that her mom told her that she wants to spend time with her grandchildren. The Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki star highlighted that her mom’s involvement made her feel relaxed. She expressed her gratitude to her mom for being constantly there for her. Rubina added that ever since she embraced motherhood, she had a constant thought about her career. But it was her mom’s immense support and care that made her return to work without tension. She was quoted as saying:

“She keeps telling me that she now wants to spend the time and live the life with Jeeva, Edhaa and Vedha (my sister’s daughter), which she couldn’t do with us. This involvement of my mom has relaxed me so much. Ever since I became mom, this had been my constant thought if I would be able to pursue my career the way it was. I am so grateful to my mother that I am able to do that.”
