On Tuesday, the Miami Dolphins signed former Denver Broncos undrafted rookie Luke Basso, which seemed like a bit of a confusing move with two long snappers already in the building, but now we know why.
According to New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill, the New Orleans Saints are signing long snapper Cal Adomitis off Miami’s practice squad.

Adomitis, 28, played collegiately at Pittsburgh from 2017-21, earning All-American honors and winning a Patrick Mannelly Award in his final season. After going undrafted, he played 58 games for the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dolphins added Adomitis to their practice squad last week after Tucker Addington suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
