Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy wrapping up the final schedule of his much-awaited film King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action thriller is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24. With just over two months remaining before its release, the makers have reportedly begun shooting the remaining action sequences and an additional song featuring Suhana Khan.
According to reports, the film’s final shooting schedule began on October 11 in Goregaon, Mumbai. The team resumed work on some important action sequences featuring Shah Rukh Khan at a studio in Andheri East on October 12. The makers are reportedly planning to complete the action portions by mid-October before moving on to the newly added song.
A source close to the production revealed that the team is working towards completing the remaining portions of the film within the planned schedule. Once the action sequences are wrapped up, Siddharth Anand will reportedly shift his focus to a special dance number featuring Suhana Khan.
The upcoming song is expected to highlight Suhana’s dancing skills. Choreographers Piyush Bhagat and Shazia Samji are reportedly working on the track, which will be filmed on a grand set at Film City in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the production team is also working on completing the film’s visual effects ahead of its theatrical release.
Apart from the ongoing shoot, reports suggest that the makers are planning to release the first teaser of King on November 2, marking Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday. Although an official announcement regarding the teaser launch is yet to be made, the possibility of its release on the superstar’s special day has already generated excitement among fans.
With the final shooting schedule underway and post-production work progressing simultaneously, the makers are preparing to bring the action-packed entertainer to cinemas on December 24.
