The search for the perfect face to bring the magic of the legendary Madhubala to the big screen has seen several updates recently. While many names have been linked to the project over the months, the latest reports suggest a new front-runner. Sharvari is now being considered for the lead role in the biopic of the iconic actress.

According to a report by News18, “Sharvari is now said to be among the top choices being considered for the role.” As of now, there has been no official confirmation about the casting. It remains unclear whether formal discussions have begun or if she has officially signed on for the project.


The Madhubala biopic has remained one of the most talked-about upcoming films in Bollywood. Before Sharvari’s name surfaced, several other talents were reportedly approached for the role. Media reports have previously linked names like Sara Arjun, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Sai Pallavi, and Aneet Padda to the project. Recently, Aneet Padda was also noted as a strong contender.

Acclaimed director Jasmeet K. Reen, who earned praise for the Netflix film Darlings, is set to direct the biopic. Fans and industry insiders are eagerly waiting for the makers to reveal more details about the final cast.

Sharvari has a busy schedule ahead with several major releases. She will be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga, which is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12.After, she will star in the YRF film, Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol which releases on July 10.

Sharvari is also working on Munjya 2 and an untitled project with Ayushmann Khurrana. This project, which also stars Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak, recently began filming in Mumbai. Sharvari was last seen on the big screen in the 2024 film Vedaa, where she starred alongside John Abraham.
