Hyderabad: Telangana swimmer Shivani Karra won the Girls 400 metres Freestyle gold at the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship being conducted by the Rajasthan Swimming Association with support of the Swimming Federation of India in Jaipur.
Shivani finished first with a timing of 4 minutes 48.47 seconds ahead of Kerala’s Indraany Menon (4:40.18) and Karnataka’s Idika Bhat (4:49.57) who took silver and bronze respectively.
Shivani trains under coach Ayush Yadav at the Sports Authority of Telangana’s GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli and represents the Telangana Swimming Association and Telangana State at national-level competitions.
The Telangana swimming fraternity congratulated Shivani, her coach, parents and the entire support team on this remarkable achievement and wished her continued success in the remaining events as well as future national and international competitions.
