Shona McGarty and a former EastEnders co-star seemed unable to keep their hands off each other in new pics. The actress enjoyed a night out with Tony Discipline and the pair sparked romance rumours with their loved up photos, including one where Tony planted a kiss on her head.
On the BBC soap, Shona played Whitney Dean from 2008 to 2024, but made an unannounced return in 2026 for an episode. Meanwhile, Tony played Tyler Moon from 2011 to 2013. During his short time on the show, Tyler briefly dated Whitney, but now the two seem to be dating in real life.
During a night out at Studio 228 in London, Shona beamed as Tony slung an arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head where she was wearing a New York Yankees cap.
He was also seen grinning in another picture as he hugged Shona from behind and she placed a manicured hand over his. While Tony wore an all black outfit, made up of a shirt, shorts and trainers, Shona wore denim shorts with red lacing and lettering on it, black knee high boots and a red top with a cut out at the front to show off her matching bralette.
This isn’t the first time the two have sparked rumours they are dating. They also set the rumour mill spinning after they cosied up together on the red carpet at the Women’s Football Awards.
At the time, Shona shared the photo of the two of them on Instagram and added the caption: “What a great evening at the @womensfootballawards last week! Such an incredible opportunity to celebrate the heroes driving women’s football forward on and off the pitch.”
Though she didn’t mention Tony, their pics together had many in the comments asking if they were a couple. One wrote: “Looking pretty good together”. Another asked: “Is this a soft launch?” While a third said: “Please tell me you’re a couple oh my God”.
Shona was engaged to David Bracken for a few months until they broke up in November last year, shortly before she appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, where she came third. During the show, many viewers thought Shona and rapper Aitch were having their own romance, but both said they were just friends.
She said after leaving the Jungle: “I came out, and apparently me and Aitch were in a relationship… He’s great, still my little brother! He’s so fun to be around, he’s just hyper, and he matched my level of hyper. He hasn’t been round for karaoke yet, but it’s on the cards.”
Speaking to The Sun, Aitch said: “Shona’s just a cool person. I feel like me and Shona are just cut from the same cloth in a way. We just have the same sense of humour. Obviously I’ve not watched the show, so I don’t know what’s been put out there in any way – but it was nothing like that.
“I just think we had a bond over a bit of a music thing – me knowing that she’s trying to come out of the jungle and pursue this music career, me having a music career.”
