I’m A Celebrity star Sinitta has opened up about her huge career change after leaving the jungle.

Sinitta has revealed that she has become a pastor, insisting that church is not just “for goody two shoes” people.

The 62-year-old has been in the spotlight for decades, after finding fame as a singer in the 80s. Most recently, she took part in a dramatic all-stars edition of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa.

She may have put those skills she picked up to good use in the jungle, as tensions spilled over between co-stars Adam Thomas, David Haye and Jimmy Bullard.

In a candid new interview, she opened up about her spirituality and how her stint as a pastor has helped her get through “hardships”.

“I’m big on spirituality which I know isn’t sexy. Not a lot of people know, but I’m a pastor. It’s got me through hardships and given me an inner confidence,” she told Closer Magazine. “People think church is for goody two shoes, but if that was the case, why on earth would they let me in?”

Sinitta, who enjoyed an on-off romance with Simon Cowell and a dalliance with Brad Pitt, also shed light on her love life, teasing that she had a new man in her life.

“I’ve always wanted the traditional fairy tale, even if it is a bit girly and old- fashioned. You think it’s meant to be over and done with at my age, and that you’re never going to meet anyone – but it’s taken me by surprise in every way,” she told the outlet of her new man. “I’ve found someone who makes me very happy.

“He is different to my type. I didn’t see it at first, because you kind of repeat what you did before, but I’ve realised this is my person.”

Sinitta was previously married to Andy Willner for around eight years, with the former couple sharing children Zac and Magdalena together. However, it wasn’t to last and they went their separate ways in 2010.

She most recently dated a mystery man, but hinted at their split in January, after one year together. In an empowering post on Instagram, she said: “There is nothing wrong with starting the year single. Being Alone is also a gift. time to reflect, learn and grow peacefully and in your own time.

“Some relationships are not meant to be forever in the same mode, they turn into friendships and some fade to pleasant memories. Don’t be afraid to be alone, embrace it and celebrate you.

“Release and be released with peace and love and best intentions for each other. Remember together you were stronger, but alone you were still strong.”
