Hyderabad: Towards averting the possibility of receiving notices from Election Commission under the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral roll, voters who could not be mapped have a chance of getting mapped by filling in the details of 2002 SIR in the ‘Enumeration Form’. Information related to 2002 SIR will be available with booth-level officers who will visit houses during the enumeration phase beginning June 25.
Chief Electoral Officer K. Sudharshan Reddy said that the printed hard copies of electoral roll of SIR 2002 will be available with the BLOs, and they would assist voters to find their names.
“The details can be retrieved by the voters from the official website https:// ceotelangana.nic.in or https://voters.eci.govi.in. by using the “search by Electors details” option available in the search facility of the portal,” the CEO said. Partwise electoral roll data in PDF is also hosted in the site and electors who know their polling station can search their names in the PDF, the CEO said.
“If the name of an elector is not found in the Electoral Roll of SIR 2002, it means that he or she may have not enrolled during that time, In that case, the person can try to retrieve the elector details of his/her parents/grandparents and their details can be filled in the Enumeration Form in the respective column. “The elector can take the help of BLO and they will assist in identifying the appropriate details,” CEO Sudharshan Reddy said.
He said no document was required to be provided during the enumeration phase. After publication of the draft electoral roll, support documents must be provided if the electoral registration officer (ERO) or assistant electoral registration officer (AERO) doubts the eligibility of the proposed voter.
The list of documents include any identity card/pension payment order issued by the Centre, the state government or PSU; any identity card/certificate/document issued in India by the government/ local authorities/banks/post office/LIC/PSUs prior to 01.07.1987; Birth certificate issued by the competent authority; Passport; matriculation/educational boards/universities certificate issued by recognised institutions; Permanent residence certificate issued by the competent state authority; Forest right certificate; OBC/SC/ST or any caste certificate issued by the competent authority; Family register, prepared by state/local authorities; Land/house allotment certificate by the government. In case of Aadhaar card, the Election Commission’s directions issued vide letter No. 23/2025-ERS/Vol.II dated 09.09.2025 (Annexure II) shall apply.
Online facility is provided by the Election Commission on https://voters.eci.gov.in for electors to fill up the Enumeration Form online. Voters can log in to the portal using their registered mobile number or EPIC number, and authenticate themselves by entering the OTP received on their registered mobile number. After login, they can select the option available under the caption “Fill Enumeration Form.”
“This facility is available to all electors whose name in the electoral roll matches with the name in their Aadhaar card. Upon successful login, the elector is required to fill in the necessary details displayed on the webpage. After submitting the correct details, the system will redirect the elector to the e-sign page,” Sudharshan Reddy said.
An OTP will then be sent to the registered mobile number for authentication, and upon entering the OTP, the form will be successfully uploaded. All electors who have registered their mobile numbers and whose names match in both Electoral Roll and Aadhaar records are requested to make use of this convenient online facility,” the official explained.
Address changes can be done after the publication of the draft electoral roll on July 31, via Form 8. These forms will be processed during the claims and objections period, from July 31 to August 30. These changes will be reflected in the final roll.
