Bob played evil Glenn on the Channel 4 soap for almost 100 episodes. Glenn was involved in a number of juicy storylines, including a dramatic coercive control plot, which saw him abuse his partner Grace Black (Tamara Wall).
Glenn eventually got bumped off by village serial killer Breda McQueen, who killed him part of her plan to rid the village of ‘bad dads’.

Said to be in ‘good spirits till the end’, the star’s family told the Mirror: “It’ll be of no surprise to those that knew… him that he was telling an Archbishop of Canterbury joke to a nurse not long before he died.
“That was one of his gifts, making strangers feel welcome. Making them laugh.”
The star wrote for legends such as Bob Hope, Morecambe and Wise, Sir Billy Connolly, Tommy Cooper, The Two Ronnies and Les Dawson.
