HYDERABAD: A young man who had been harassing a software employee for a year attacked her when she refused his advances. The incident occurred on Wednesday in Shamshabad, Rangareddy district.
According to RGIA police, the 25‑year‑old woman from Jharkhand works as a manager in a leading software company in Hyderabad and resides in Madhapur. Akash, a colleague, had been pursuing her despite her objections. He backed down after she lodged a complaint with Madhapur police earlier.
On Wednesday, when she returned from visiting relatives in Delhi, Akash confronted her at Shamshabad airport, forced her into a car and drove towards Hyderabad. An argument broke out, during which he punched her, threw her out of the vehicle and fled.
Local residents rushed the seriously injured woman to hospital. Shamshabad police registered a case and are investigating.
