Someone Is Lying About the Plot of This Week’s ‘South Park’ Episode

South Park fans have been waiting two long weeks to find out what’s going to happen to Eric Cartman who, the last time we saw him, had six-sevened his way into a trip to the White House after being abducted by Antichrist expert Peter Thiel.

What’s the new one going to be about? While it’s entirely possible that Trey Parker and Matt Stone are about to pull an all-nighter in order to figure that out, over on Reddit, fans shared what appeared to be an episode title and synopsis for this week.

A link to the “South Park Studios” wiki revealed that episode two of season 28 will be called “Unholy Birth,” and is going to be about how “Peter Thiel takes Cartman to Washington as the birth of the Antichrist nears, meanwhile the girls host a Halloween party.”

Although fans were seemingly thrilled by the news that the show will involve Halloween, unfortunately, the info on the now-deleted page was seemingly totally bogus. Other sources had already claimed that the episode was really titled “The Woman in the Hat,” and features a story in which “the White House deals with a disruptive spirit from the east wing. While Stan worries that South Park has become too political.”

This description has subsequently been confirmed by Comedy Central’s online schedule, meaning that the show will indeed tackle Trump’s demolition of the White House’s East wing. Since the controversial project unleashes some kind of “disruptive spirit,” which could mean that the show will still be Halloween-themed.

As for Stan worrying that “South Park has become too political,” that sounds like a pretty transparent commentary on fans’ complaints that this year’s batch of episodes has focused too much on Trump and his Satanic love child, and not enough on the core group of South Park kids.

The fact that it’s Stan who’s having this meta dilemma is curious, considering that he’s so often a mouthpiece for the show’s creators – meaning that perhaps Parker and Stone themselves are re-evaluating the Trump-heavy direction of the season. And, to be fair, that would be in line with their previous comments concerning the show’s political focus.

Then again, it could just be a fake-out. And Parker and Stone might change everything at 3 o’clock in the morning anyways.
