The anarkali, made with crushed chanderi silk fabric, is worn with harem-style patiala pants instead of the churidar. Two dupattas are worn with the set—a handcrafted chikankari dupatta embroidered with foliage motifs and mirror work, and a luminous tissue drape accented with ghungroo detailing. The monotone palette of Kapoor’s look and the use of dual dupattas elevates the look to ceremonial stature.
Stylists Rhea Kapoor and Shereen Sikka completed the look with a statement necklace, earrings and ring from Rah Jewels, the heirloom jewellery line by design duo Rimple and Harpreet. Heels from accessories label Fizzy Goblet added the finishing touch. The hero element of the look, however, was the Gajraj batwa by Itrh, made in collaboration with Jaipur-based fine jewellery brand Jewel Saga. Intricate polki work turned the design of an elephant’s face into wearable art. For beauty, makeup artist Mallika Bhat created a glam look featuring kohl-rimmed smoky eyes and glossy pink lips, while hairstylist Hiral Bhatia styled Kapoor’s hair in a centre-parted, free-flowing hairstyle.
