Barring another last-minute delay, we’re getting a brand new episode of South Park this week. “Sora Not Sorry” seemingly finds Butters casually dabbling in revenge porn, to the horror of Kyle. His actions end up “igniting an epidemic of fake videos at school” and getting him in trouble with local law enforcement.
The episode’s teaser trailer suggests that Butters’ victim is Red McArthur, who he claimed was his girlfriend earlier this year in the Labubu-themed episode “Wok is Dead.”

The subject of AI-generated revenge porn is obviously incredibly upsetting, especially for those viewers who have been pulling for Butters. Judging from the online response to the teaser, a number of South Park fans sure don’t seem to love that the show has taken Butters’ character down such a dark path.
Others are more than okay with this latest development since Butters, arguably, Butters has been a toxic creep for quite a while. “Makes sense that he’s a total incel toward women nowadays,” one fan on Reddit wrote.
“I honestly think Butters turned into an incel after Charlotte unfairly broke up with him in season 20,” another theorized.
Yeah, lest we forget that in the episode “Wieners Out,” Butters’ response to being dumped by his Canadian girlfriend via online chat was to blame girls as a whole, start a schoolyard men’s rights movement and then publicly expose little Butters to everybody as a form of protest.
“Butters broke bad years ago,” a fan argued, pointing out that Butters became a literal pimp back in season thirteen’s “Butters Bottom B*tch,” and began verbally abusing his female classmates as a result.
One fan posted images from a number of different episodes, which clearly illustrate that Butters has a long history of misogynistic behavior, up to and including the time he groped an unconscious Paris Hilton.
It remains to be seen how the real-life Butters feels about his fictional namesake’s latest horrendous crime.
