Adilabad: Uploading online of enumeration forms for the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll has been slow compared to distribution in the erstwhile Adilabad district. It is learnt that booth level officers (BLOs) have so far focused only on distribution of the forms, with very few of them being filled up and submitted for uploading. From Saturday, BLOs will begin collecting filled forms and uploading them online. BLOs will also focus on anomalies in voter list mapping under SIR and on migrant (shifted) voters.
According to sources, Adilabad Assembly constituency has 2,50,393 electors. Of these, 2,13,065 forms — 85.09 per cent — have been distributed, but only 5,345 digitised. In the Boath Assembly constituency, there are 2,16,391 electors. Of these, 2,09,728 forms — 96.92 per cent — have been distributed, but only 5,251 digitised so far.
Officials meanwhile organised special camps in Bhainsa, Nirmal district, on Friday for the distribution of enumeration forms to voters and collection of filled-in forms0, Efforts were underway to establish ‘help desks’ in gram panchayats.
A considerable number of voters attended the camps, received forms, interacted with their BLOs and clarified doubts about furnishing details. Officials asked voters to collect forms from BLOs at two camps organised at Siddiq function hall in the Market area and Munnurkapu function hall in Bhattigalli, Bhainsa town.
According to sources, voters of 23 polling stations from 117 to 129 and 139 to 148 collected forms at Siddiq function hall, while voters of 19 polling stations from 114 to 116, 130 to 132, 135 to 138 and 149 to 157 collected forms at Munnurkapu function hall.
Local voters attended the camps, collected forms and submitted them to their BLOs. Bhainsa deputy collector Ajmeera Sanketh Kumar organised the event to benefit voters and speed up the household survey under SIR. He said voters must submit forms with all required details, free of mistakes, to BLOs, and added that officials are extending necessary help in filling them.
