Special Trains Announced for Puri Rath Yatra

Indian Railways will operate special unreserved passenger trains to facilitate the travel of pilgrims attending the world-famous Rath Yatra festival at Puri.

According to a railway release, Train No. 08437, the Palasa–Puri unreserved passenger special via Haripurgram and Arugul, will depart from Palasa at 9 pm on July 15 and July 23 and reach Puri at 2 am the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 08438, the Puri–Palasa unreserved passenger special, will leave Puri at 4 am on July 17 and July 25 and arrive at Palasa at 9.15 am the same day.

The train will halt for one minute at all scheduled stations between Palasa and Puri in both directions.

Another special service, Train No. 08557, the Gunupur–Puri unreserved passenger special via Arugul and Haripurgram, will leave Gunupur at 6.30 pm on July 15 and July 23 and reach Puri at 12.50 am the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 08558, the Puri–Gunupur unreserved passenger special, will depart from Puri at 2.45 am on July 17 and July 25 and reach Gunupur at 9.45 am the same day.
