Emma Willis is said to have crossed paths romantically with Robbie Williams years before she met her now-husband Matt Willis. The former Big Brother presenter, 50, has been married to Busted star Matt for almost 20 years, with the couple now raising three children together.
But before their relationship began, Emma reportedly caught the attention of Take That icon Robbie during a meeting in Lisbon in 2005. According to reports, the pair enjoyed a brief “rendezvous” while they were both still establishing themselves in the entertainment industry.
A source claimed Robbie was immediately impressed by Emma, telling the Daily Mail that he thought she was “incredible” and that she appeared to enjoy their time together too.
Whatever happened between the pair was seemingly short-lived, as Emma went on to begin dating Matt later that same year.
The couple eventually tied the knot in 2008 and have since become one of British showbiz’s best-known couples. They share daughters Isabelle and Trixie, as well as son Ace.
Emma has built a successful career of her own, becoming a familiar face on television after presenting shows including Big Brother and The Voice UK.
She recently returned to the spotlight in a new role on Strictly Come Dancing, joining Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe as one of the show’s presenters.
This comes after Emma made her feelings clear after the first week of Strictly brought divided opinions after the line-up has been scrutinised by viewers.
While Emma has largely been praised, her co-presenters have come under fire from some quarters. But the former presenter of The Voice hasn’t let it affect her and posted a positive update in the aftermath of dance week one.
Sharing snaps on Instagram, Emma wrote: “Week one, done. I’ve never had so much fun! What a way to kick things off.”
Among her backstage snaps was an embrace with husband Matt Willis who was clearly proud of Emma’s efforts. The pair shared a kiss as they beamed near the dressing rooms. And Emma also posed in her white gown, styled by Leah Binnall.
Delta Goodrem was among the celebs in the comments section gushing over Emma’s post. She wrote: “Total babetown,” and added three flame emojis.
Lacey Turner also called the presenter “stunning,” while professional dancer Lauren Oakley said: “Argh I’m obsessed!! what a night, what a show.”
Fans were quick to share their disappointment at the new proceedings following Saturday’s show, though. One unimpressed fan on X/ Twitter said in the aftermath: “Having three hosts doesn’t work,” as another agreed: “Three hosts are too much.”
A third fan commented: “I love strictly but this trio of hosts just isn’t working for me.” A fourth said: “These transitions between JoJo and the other hosts are so clunky and stilted, it’s probably the reason the show is running to 2.5 hours.”
And while there was discontent, former pro Vincent Simone insisted some people just don’t like change. He told the Mirror : “I think the only downside of this year is that there’s been way too many changes all in one go. Some people like changes, like me. Some people don’t.
“I can imagine some people saying, ‘Oh, Tess and Claudia are not going to be presenting, I won’t be watching it,’ or, you know, some of the professionals that I used to love, they won’t be performing again, “I’m not going to watch it again.”
“So unfortunately, it is what it is. I think there’s been way too many new changes all at once.”
Shortly after her first appearance on the show, Emma received the backing of former host Claudia Winkleman. Claudia had hosted the show since 2014, but stepped down at the end of 2025.
The presenter of The Traitors showed her support in the comments, calling Emma a “knockout”.
