Dianne Buswell has met Will Best’s baby, Sonny, and said that after seeing the ‘gorgeous’ boy, she told her partner, Joe Sugg, that she wants to have another child
Strictly pro Dianne Buswell has confessed she would like another baby with her partner Joe Sugg.
The 37-year-old, who is paired with TV presenter Will Best, 41, on the BBC dancing show, gave birth to her son Bowden – known as Bowie – in March. But the mother-of-one has admitted that after meeting Will’s baby, Sonny Best, she has been left feeling like she wants another child.
Will and his fiancée Tobi Rose welcomed their son on October 11 – and Sonny has already made his Strictly debut, meeting Dianne at a cafe as part of his dad’s rehearsal footage during the October 24 show. Hours before the live show, Dianne and Will reflected on their busy week and the professional dancer described her partner’s baby as “gorgeous”.

The dancer said: “I met Sonny. He’s so gorgeous. I have to say, as soon as I saw him, I went home and said, Joe, ‘I want another one’.” In the comment section of Dianne’s video, many fans praised the pair – and some agreed with her feelings.
A person wrote: “I don’t even have a baby, but every one I meet I’m like I need one.” Another said: “I’m going to need to start listing all the different topics you two go over in a short video! Babies, gifts, mirrors, jokes, dogs, all in the span of a 1m30s video.”
A third said: “Aww, Sonny and Bowie. Good luck for tonight, you will smash cha cha cha.” Someone else said: “Bless them, they look so tired.”
One more added: “I actually don’t think that they could have put Dianne with anyone better.” A fan described Will and Dianne as “the best duo.”
Will announced his son’s birth in a sweet Instagram video. “So I got this really cool new thing today, lots of people get them, but they are pretty cool,” he said, before turning the camera to show the little one in his arms as he smiled.
In the caption of the post, Will revealed the baby’s name, writing: “Well who do we have here then?! Welcome to the world Sonny Best, you little smasher. @tobiroseofficial you’re a miracle and I love you so much. A couple of tired new parents (see last slide) but oh my goodness aren’t we lucky xxx.”
Will later revealed during a behind-the-scenes clip from rehearsals on Strictly: It Takes Two that the little one had in fact arrived on Sunday, October 11, quipping: “He’s arrived on Icons Week. What does that make him? An icon!”
Dianne was one of the first to send her congratulations, saying: “Yay, I’m so happy for you and Tob. And Bowie is so excited to meet little Sonny.” After giving birth to her son in March, Dianne and Joe wrote on social media: “Never felt a love like it. Baby Bowden Mark Richard Sugg. 16/03/26.”
Joe and Dianne met on Strictly Come Dancing when they were partnered with one another. In an adorable announcement at the end of the show, Joe said he had not won the Glitterball but had won something much better, confirming their romance.
