The Girona FC joins the campaign “Put on the Mustache,” promoted by the Oncolliga Girona Foundation to raise awareness about male cancers and collect funds for prostate cancer research. This year, Cristhian Stuani is the protagonist and appears in the central video of the initiative, which carries the slogan “Against cancer, don’t play alone.”

With this message, Oncolliga aims to remind people that sharing fears and emotions that may arise from a diagnosis is important. The campaign is part of Movember, an international movement that every November promotes awareness about men’s health, especially prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. The mustache is its most visible symbol: many people grow one during the month to give visibility to these causes and encourage conversation.

As part of the collaboration, Girona FC will sell the campaign’s solidarity pins, featuring the mustache, at its store on the Rambla. Each pin will cost 5 euros, and all proceeds will go to Oncolliga.

The second edition of “Put on the Mustache” includes as its main novelty the Movember Run – Oncolliga’s Night Run, which will take place on the afternoon of November 13. The race will start from the Devesa promenade and pass through the Old Quarter. Both men and women can participate, and the organization encourages them to run with a mustache, whether natural, painted, or fake.

Registration costs 12 euros, and all proceeds will go entirely to prostate cancer research.

The first edition of “Put on the Mustache” raised 4,400 euros through the sale of 2,060 solidarity pins in 79 establishments across 35 municipalities in Girona.
