The electricity in her body restores the charge and stabilizes his condition. Eventually, they find out that ‘Ho-rang’ must stay within a 10-meter radius of ‘Bo-bae’ to keep his heart functioning properly. Therefore, he hires her as his personal bodyguard, making her spend most of her time with him.
Initially, they often fight due to their contrasting personalities. ‘Ho-rang’ has a cold and practical nature, while ‘Bo-bae’ is more cheerful and outspoken. However, the need for proximity brings them closer. Eventually, ‘Ho-rang’ opens up emotionally and develops trust in ‘Ho-rang’. Still, their relationship faces several challenges due to the schemes of ‘Ho-rang’s’ cousin, ‘Do-yoon’.
‘Do-yoon’ is determined to get control of TS Group, and he tries to exploit ‘Ho-rang’s’ medical weakness and uses ‘Bo-bae’ as bait. So, they must deal with complications involving ‘Ji Eun-ho,’ who has feelings for ‘Bo-bae’ and ‘Cho Seo-jeong,’ whose marriage was arranged to ‘Ho-rang’ for financial interests. Still, ‘Ho rang’ and ‘Bo-bae’ came closer and developed genuine feelings.
At the end, ‘Bo-bae’ sacrifices her powers to save ‘Ho-rang’. The final confrontation takes place at the TS Group’s 30th anniversary celebration. ‘Do-yoon’ makes the final attempt to remove ‘Ho-rang’ by spiking his drink, which puts his vulnerable heart at risk. At the same time, he kidnaps ‘Bo-bae’, but she manages to escape and rushes to the event. When she reaches the venue, ‘Ho-rang’ collapses on stage, leaving him critical.
Since there is no time, ‘Bo-bae’ uses a massive electrical power surge directly on his chest for an emergency shock. It saves ‘Ho-rang’ but makes her lose her supernatural electrical power. Later, ‘Ho-rang’ gets a stable artificial heart, and he is no longer dependent on ‘Bo-bae’.
‘Do-yoon’s’ crimes are also exposed, and ‘Ho-rang’ gets control of his company. The show ends on a happy note where ‘Bo-bae’ can finally live as an ordinary person, and ‘Ho-rang’ does not have to fear for his life. Still, they continue to stay together, not for survival, but for love.
Will Take Charge Of My Heart return for season 2?
Take Charge of My Heart Season 2 is highly unlikely because Season 1 left no cliffhanger. In fact, there has been no announcement for a season 2 by Netflix. The finale ended on a happy note where ‘Ho-rang’ and ‘Bo-bae’s story reached a clear romantic conclusion.
So, unless the makers decide to add a new conflict or a different chapter in their lives, the ending works as a complete conclusion. For now, it is a standalone romantic fantasy with no confirmed sequel.
