Chennai: Launching a long-drawn series of review meetings on the working of the various State departments ahead of the presentation of the State Budget, Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay reviewed the functioning of the Revenue and Cooperative departments at the Secretariat on Thursday.
The meetings were attended by the Ministers connected to the functioning of the departments and the senior officers in charge of the departments.
In the subsequent days, the other departments would be brought under review to understand their functioning and also the problems they faced. The exercise would go on till the Assembly meets again for the presentation of the Budget towards the end of the month.
Based on the discussions at the review meetings, the annual Budget, the first to be presented by the TVK government, would be prepared.
