Taylor Swift’s appearances at New York Knicks games might be loved by the ‘Swifties’; the team is not appreciative of it and thinks differently. Recently, the star player of the team, Tyler Kolek, took a dig at the pop star. He was questioned about the fakest celebrity fan, and he gave out Taylor’s name, which the Swifties fan club wasn’t happy with.
Tyler Kolek revealed Taylor Swift is the fakest celebrity Knicks fan
Tyler stated that Taylor’s appearance at the games is very performative. While they agreed that they would get bashed by the Swifties, Tyler clearly called Taylor a fake fan jumping on the orange and blue bandwagon during the team’s championship this year. He said:
“At the Knicks games, I would say it’s very performative. Because they just want to be seen at the game. They’re not necessarily fans. Maybe Taylor Swift? I don’t know if I’ve seen her at any other games. I guess she has a lot going on, so she can’t come all the time. But it’s a little performative.”
McBride agreed but warned that his teammate, Tyler, wouldn’t like his revelation. And Tyler also acknowledged that he might get hate from Taylor’s fans. For those who don’t know, Taylor was among the many celebrities at Game 4 of the NBA Finals when the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106.
The remark left many satisfied, as they also agreed. One user wrote, “She also was rooting against the Knicks when they played Travis’s Cavs in the playoffs…so how is that a true fan? But who cares.” Another user penned, “Yep, I don’t care about those Swifties. He ain’t lying, and I mean, let’s face it, because she’s not one of those true fans like Spike Lee and Chris Rock.”
A third one commented, “Agreed! She was at the Cavs game celebrating, then took a hard W against the Knicks, so FOH!” It is worth adding that Taylor Swift gave a sweet shoutout to her husband during her Saturday Night Live cameo, following her new chart-topping single, Patient Zero. After their Italian dinner, the two quickly got into their car and headed back home.
Talking about their grand wedding, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce invited around 1,000 guests to celebrate at Madison Square Garden. After this, Taylor kept showering her love on her husband, Travis, in her sweet way. She dropped the expanded version of her hit album, The Life Of A Showgirl, and included cute references to her footballer husband.
In the song, Cleveland, Taylor shared her love story with Travis Kelce, wherein she revealed how her husband showed her Cleveland, and no matter what people say, he is the love of her life. The lyrics are: “He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life, hey, hey, hey.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor’s relationship made the headlines in 2023. It all started after Travis revealed during a podcast, New Heights, that he tried to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Eras Tour, but she never received it. Soon, the buzz was rife that the two were secretly dating each other. Later, the same year, 2023 in September, Taylor attended a Kansas City Chiefs game and was sitting right beside Travis’ mother and cheered for him.
For those who don’t know, Travis proposed marriage to Taylor in 2025 after the couple had been in a relationship for two years. The two often went on private and public date nights. Before their wedding, a Page Six report claimed the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement.
