Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Remembers Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung on His Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid rich tributes to Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur, who designed numerous irrigation projects in Telangana on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Friday.

Recalling his contributions, the Chief Minister said Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur guided the construction of historical buildings in Telangana.

On the occasion of Telangana Engineers’ Day, observed in memory of Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur, the Chief Minister extended special greetings to all the engineers in the state.

In his message, the Chief Minister said engineers play a key role in shaping the future through their ideas, creativity and dedication. He noted that engineers can transform the impossible into the possible and challenges into opportunities. He added that every engineering achievement reflects society’s progress and development.

Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur was instrumental in the construction of several major irrigation projects, buildings, and bridges in the erstwhile Hyderabad State. His notable contributions include the Osman Sagar, Himayat Sagar, Nizam Sagar, and Ali Sagar reservoirs. He also served as the Chairman of the National Planning Committee on River Training and Irrigation. Since 2014, the Telangana government has been observing his birth anniversary on July 11 as Telangana Engineers’ Day.
