Hyderabad: The Telangana school education department has asked teachers to act quickly after self-nominations for the National Teachers’ Awards 2026 came in lower than last year.
The department said eligible teachers must register online on the National Teachers’ Awards Portal by July 10 and submit their final applications by July 13. The portal will close after July 13, in accordance with Government of India guidelines.
Officials asked teachers who have already registered to complete their final submissions without waiting until the last day. The portal contains details on eligibility, pedagogy, guidelines and other requirements for the awards.
The department said the awards provide teachers with a “rare opportunity” to showcase their teaching practices, contributions to student development, achievements and services to education before a national forum.
