Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Friday granted conditional permission to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to hold its ‘Yuva Sangrama Sabha’ at Saroornagar Stadium on Saturday, July 18.
The court directed the party to conduct the meeting peacefully and barred road blockades and provocative speeches during the event.
Hyderabad police had earlier denied permission for the gathering, citing security issues. Following this, the BRS filed a lunch motion petition in the High Court seeking approval. After hearing both sides, the court granted permission for the public meeting while imposing conditions to ensure law and order.
According to the BRS, the meeting is aimed at highlighting what it alleges are the Congress government’s failures in fulfilling promises on jobs and student welfare. BRS Working President KT Rama Rao is scheduled to address the gathering. Party sources said extensive arrangements have been made for the event. The BRS has appealed to unemployed youth and students to participate in large numbers.
