Telangana: NIT Warangal Confers Degrees On 945 PG Students, 100 PHD Scholars

WARANGAL: The 24th convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal concluded on Sunday with degrees being conferred on 945 postgraduate students and 100 PhD scholars.

NIT Warangal Board of Governors chairperson Dr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy and director Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi presented the degrees and Academic Excellence Awards during the two-day convocation.

Director’s Gold Medals were presented to Adepu Anjali, the overall postgraduate topper in engineering, and Jalumedi Bharani, who topped the sciences and management disciplines.

The Best PhD Thesis Award was presented to Dr Apoorva Bora of the Chemistry Department, while the Best M.Tech Dissertation Award went to Atkare Sarthak Vinod.

A total of 1,997 students from undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes received degrees during the two-day convocation. The event concluded with the national anthem and the exit of the academic procession.
